As someone who has survived a massive heart attack, I refused to become another statistic of this devastating disease.
My cardiologist, Dr. Shadani Abdul, who has been by my side for over years years, once told me, "Science says one thing, but there is a higher power with you." This statement resonates deeply, reminding us of the power of faith and the importance of taking action taking initiative in helping others to share their stories.
Cardiovascular disease remains a leading threat, but together, we can fight back. Protect your heart, safeguard your family's future, and remember—every heartbeat counts. Cherise A. Williams Heart Health Campaign, are deeply committed to supporting the fight against heart disease. Under the passionate leadership of Cherise, we proudly assemble a dedicated team annually for the Broward Heart Walk, in collaboration with NSU and the American Heart Association. This year, we have set a goal to raise $1,000 for the 2025 Broward Heart Walk. Our team, though modest in size, consistently meets its fundraising objectives each year and is on a path of steady growth. Cherise firmly believes in the power of humble beginnings, confident in the knowledge that God celebrates every small step. She is driven by the conviction that the work initiated and the assignments undertaken will indeed reach their successful completion.
Participating in the Broward Heart Walk is an experience I cherish deeply. It affords me the opportunity to assist others in recognizing the value of investing in their own well-being. This event not only fosters community and support for heart health but also empowers individuals to take proactive steps towards a healthier future. It's a beautiful reminder of how collective efforts can lead to meaningful change, encouraging everyone to prioritize their health and the health of those around them.
Launching the Cherise A. Williams Heart Health Campaign was an endeavor initiated by a leap of faith. In the absence of a defined path or assurance on how to proceed, the deep-seated conviction that failing to initiate this campaign would be a disservice propelled me forward. This audacious step into uncharted territory has established a strong foundation for our mission and shines as a source of motivation for others. It stands as a powerful affirmation of the strength of faith and determination, inspiring all to recognize their ability to drive change and create a significant impact.
Participating in the Broward Heart Walk is an experience I cherish deeply, especially as a "2024 Top Walker" for the American Heart Association. It allows me to assist others in recognizing the value of investing in their own well-being.
I had no idea that my hard work and dedication were quietly moving me to the "Top Walker" status. It was a wonderful surprise to find out when I received a special gift.
This event not only fosters community and support for heart health but also empowers individuals to take proactive steps towards a healthier future. Being recognized as a top walker is a testament to my commitment to the cause and amplifies my ability to inspire and help others.
